    The Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica ( Spanish Asamblea Legislativa de Costa Rica ) is the national parliament in the Republic of Costa Rica .

    The parliament is formed by a unicameral system . 57 members of parliament are elected by proportional representation for four years.

    The Parliament is located in the Edificio Central building in the center of San José .

    The parliamentary elections take place every 4 years. Voting is compulsory from the age of 18.
