The National Congress of the Republic of Paraguay ( Spanish Congreso Nacional de la República del Paraguay ) is the body responsible for exercising the Paraguayan legislature. It consists of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies and has 125 members. The last elections took place in 2018 .

The National Congress meets annually in ordinary sessions from July 1 of each year to June 30 of the following year with a break from December 21 to March 1.

Fernando Lugo has been President of the National Congress since 2017 .

Chamber of Senators of the Republic of Paraguay

The Senate has 45 members.

House of Representatives of the Republic of Paraguay

The Chamber of Deputies has 80 members.
