The Congress of the Republic of Guatemala ( Spanish Congreso de la República de Guatemala ) is the national parliament in Guatemala .
The parliamentary system in Guatemala is the unicameral system .
The deputies are elected to Congress for four years each. Originally there were 158 seats in Congress, and since an electoral reform in 2016 there have been 160 seats.

Seat in the government palace in Guatemala
The Congress of the Republic of Guatemala has its seat in Guatemala City . The parliament building was built in neo-classical style from 1926 to 1934 after a previous building had to be demolished after an earthquake in 1917.
