The 2015 presidential election in Guatemala took place on September 6th and October 25th, 2015 . The 46-year-old former comedian Jimmy Morales prevailed in the runoff election with around 68.5% of the votes against the UNE candidate , Sandra Torres , the ex-wife of former President Álvaro Colom .
