    The House of Representatives of Colombia ( Spanish Cámara de Representantes ) is part of the Parliament of Colombia . Its seat is in the Plaza de Bolívar in the capital Bogotá .

    The House of Representatives is the lower house of the two-chamber parliament. It consists of 172 MPs who are elected for four years. The House of Lords is formed by the Senate of the Republic of Colombia ( Senado de la República de Colombia ). The House of Representatives is the political representation of the citizens before Congress. Its main tasks are: to reform the constitution, pass legislation and exercise political control over the government.

    The 2018 parliamentary election in Colombia for the current legislature took place on March 11, 2018.
