The Mud Lake ( English , Polish Jeziorko Błotniste , 'mud lake ' ) is a muddy lake on King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located on the Creeping Slope east of Bastion Hill at Sentry Cove . The lake was created by the increasing glacier retreat since the 1980s.
Polish scholars named it descriptively.
