Muddy roots

Its start as a music festival took muddy roots on the June Bug Boogie Ranch in Cookeville , Tennessee , USA in 2010. In addition to performing artists included the festival also camping , stalls , a car show and a pin-up -performance. In 2012 the festival expanded and created the first offshoot in Belgium on the grounds of the Cowboy Up Steakhouse Saloon in Waardamme . The same mixture of different musical styles was presented there as at the original festival in Tennessee. Also in 2012, Muddy Roots announced a third, separate festival. The Muddy Roots Spring Weekender was held at the Red River Canoe Campground in Adams, Tennessee. All Muddy Roots music festivals provide a platform for musicians of various genres, including country music , blues , rock 'n' roll , rockabilly , punk rock , bluegrass and American folk music . On May 6, 2013, Muddy Roots announced on its website that Slowboat Film would shoot a documentary on the evolution of American music, entitled "Hard Soil", at the festival in Tennessee and Europe.

The first Muddy Roots Music Festival took place from Friday, May 28th to Sunday, May 30th, 2010 in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA at the June Bug Boogie Ranch. In 2011, the second annual Muddy Roots Music Festival took place from September 3-4, 2011 in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA at the June Bug Boogie Ranch. The festival added a third stage for music and film performances. From August 31 to September 2, 2012, the third annual Muddy Roots Music Festival took place in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA at the June Bug Boogie Ranch.

The first annual Muddy Roots Europe Festival took place from Saturday, June 9th to Sunday, June 10th, 2012 on the grounds of the Cowboy Up Steakhouse Saloon in Waardamme, Belgium. The European festival included many of the artists who were also present at the Muddy Roots Music Festival in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA. From May 10th to 11th, 2013 the first Muddy Roots Spring Weekender Festival took place in Red River on the Canoe Campground. The first Muddy Roots Spring Weekender Festival took place from Friday May 10th to Saturday May 11th 2013 in Red River at Canoe Campground. The fourth annual Muddy Roots Music Festival followed in 2013 and takes place from August 30th September 1st in Cookeville, Tennessee, USA at the June Bug Boogie Ranch. The line-up boasts with the punk band Black Flag , who will be headlining their first US concert since reunification.
