Muera plateau

The Muera Plateau , also known as the Rondo Plateau , is a low mountain range in the Lindi region in south-east Tanzania . It lies between the Mbwemburu and Lukuledi rivers . It is up to about 899 m high and was formed in the Cretaceous Period . The Muera Plateau, like the Makonde Plateau, consists predominantly of red to red-brown sandstone on top of layers of gneiss .
