The Mugelschutzhaus is a refuge of the Austrian Tourist Club just north of the Mugel summit in Styria .
history
The Mugelschutzhaus was built in 1904 on the Gleinalpe and was later named Jakob-Hans-Prosl-Haus , after a board member of the Leoben section of the Austrian Alpine Club . After the sale, the old Hans-Prosl-Haus was demolished and replaced by a new building from 2011 to 2013.

The Mugelschutzhaus is located on the summit of the Mugel, near Niklasdorf in Styria and is a base on the north-south long-distance hiking trail 05 from Nebelstein to Eibiswald .
