Muhammad Nur Abdullah

Sheikh Muhammad Nur Abdullah ( Arabic محمد نور عبدالله; born in Sudan ) is an American Islamic clergyman and legal scholar. He was the Vice President of the Fiqh Council of North America in the United States of America. He is the former chairman of the ISNA Fiqh Council.

Life

He completed his training in Islamic law in Saudi Arabia at the Islamic University of Medina and the Umm-al-Qura University in Mecca ; he also studied at the University of Chicago .

He was one of the 138 signatories of the open letter a common word between us and you ( Engl. A Common Word Between Us and You ), the personalities of Islam to "leaders of Christian churches everywhere" (Engl. "Leaders of Christian Churches, everywhere ... ") (October 13, 2007).
