Muhammad ibn Yūsuf al-Warrāq

Muhammad ibn Yūsuf al-Warrāq (* 904 in Guadalajara (Spain) , † 973 or 974 in Córdoba ) was an Andalusian historian and geographer .

He lived in Qairawān for many years and returned to Córdoba during the reign of Caliph al-Hakam II (961–976).

His geographical work Book of Travel Routes and Kingdoms , including the topography of North Africa, is lost today and is only known through Abū ʿUbaid al-Bakrī .
