Muisi Ajao (born December 2, 1978 in Lagos ) is a former Nigerian football player . He could be used in the central defensive position as well as in the defensive midfielder.
Club career
Ajao, nicknamed The Beast , came to the Belgian club Cercle Bruges via Nigerian clubs Bendel Insurance , Shooting Stars FC and Julius Berger FC , for whom he made five top division appearances in the 1996/97 season. Ajao then returned to Africa and signed with the South African first division club Kaizer Chiefs , which he left after a season to join the league rivals Mamelodi Sundowns .
With the Sundowns, Ajao won the South African championship twice (1999 and 2000) and the league-internal cup competition once (1999). In 2001 they reached the final of the CAF Champions League , but there was no chance against the Egyptian representative al Ahly Cairo . Ajao was not used in the final games. In 2002 he was released from his contract along with numerous other players.
In 2003 he found a new club in the Vietnamese V-League with Quảng Nam-Đà Nẵng , for which he played for two years. There is no reliable information about subsequent stations, so he completed trial training in Bahrain, India and South Africa. In 2005/06 he played for the subsequently disbanded South African club Bush Bucks FC .
This was followed by further positions at Kingfisher East Bengal and Manning Rangers before he ended his career in 2007.
