Mukhthar Naseer

Mukhthar Naseer (born May 7, 1979 in Thoddoo , Maldives ), nicknamed 2 kilos , is a Maldivian football player . He plays in the position of the striker .

From 2004 to the end of 2008 he played for the Maldivian first division club Valencia , since 2009 for Victory SC .

As a player in the Maldivian national team , he also takes part in international competitions. In 2008 he scored the only goal of the game in the final against India in the 87th minute of the South Asian Cup and won the title for the Maldives. In early 2009 he was named Footballer of the Year 2008 by both Haveeru Daily and the Maldivian Football Association FAM .
