Mulga Island

Mulga Island is a small island 5 km off the coast of the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It is located 8 km northeast of Kirkby Head .

Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1956 were used for their mapping. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after the acacia species mulga, which is widespread in Australia .
