The Multan Cricket Stadium is a cricket stadium in Multan , Pakistan .
Capacity & Infrastructure
The stadium has a capacity of 35,000 and is equipped with a floodlight system. The two wicket ends are the Main Pavilion End and the North Pavilion End .
International cricket
The first test match was held here in August 2001 between Pakistan and Bangladesh . Since then it has hosted several international meetings. The first One-Day International was held in this stadium in September 2003 on the tour of Bangladesh in the 2003 season. After the attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore in 2009, international games in Pakistan were suspended altogether.
National cricket
The stadium is the home of Southern Punjab in national Pakistani cricket. In the Pakistan Super League , it is intended as the venue for Multan Sultans .
