The Munich Symphonic Sound Orchestra (often MSSO for short ) was an orchestra specially composed for crossover recordings of pop music under the direction of Boris Jojic , which had great success with the release of its albums in the 1980s. (It is not to be confused with the Munich Symphony Orchestra - this is just an alternative name for the studio musicians of the Munich Philharmonic ).
composition
The orchestra's classical instruments are played by members of the Munich Philharmonic. There are also instruments from pop music , such as electric guitars , drums or synthesizers .
The orchestra had its first major success in 1988 with the CD The Sensation of Sound - Pop goes Classic .
