content

The serial killer Kuroko Kōmori ( 紅 守 黒 湖 ) has murdered 715 people since childhood and is now to be executed. But the rampant crime in her hometown of Ruruie saves her life: on behalf of the government, she is supposed to fight criminals herself as a “state executioner” and kill those who the police cannot stop. In addition to her experience in all types of murder, her acquired seventh sense also helps her to feel the creeping death in her. However, her great weakness is attractive women, which often makes her forget about her job. One of her many lovers is Chiyo Yanaoka ( 柳 岡 千代 ), the daughter of an influential Yakuza boss, and the only one who can curb Kuroko.

At Kuroko's side is the young Hinako Tozakura ( 屠 桜 ひ な 子 ), who Kuroko has taken in and who can bring both of them quickly to any place with her risky driving style. Hinako has a simple and naive disposition, but she too shows violent tendencies when she is injured. Later Kuroko sees to it that the elementary school student Rinko Asagi ( 浅 葱 葱 ) comes with her, whose father killed women in order to skin and collect their faces. Rinko has adopted his psychopathic behavior and Kuroko wants to shape her into a serial killer in her mind.

Together they set out on the hunt for bizarre serial and mass murderers and repeatedly find themselves in dangerous situations and even in conflict with the police - who ultimately cannot do anything about their activities.
