Murray Dry Valley ( English for Murray dry valley ) is the misleading name of a low plateau on the Pennell coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . It is located south of Cape Kløvstad between Protection Cove and Colbeck Bay on the Murray Glacier .
Victor Campbell , head of the northern group on the British Terra Nova Expedition (1910–1913), named it after the name of the neighboring glacier. Its namesake is the British oceanographer John Murray (1841-1914), participant of the Challenger expedition (1872-1876).
