Museion
Museion (ancient Greek Μουσεῖον , Latin museum ) means:
- originally a sanctuary of the muses in antiquity
- Museion of Alexandria , an ancient research facility with the famous library
- Catholicon Museion , the University of Constantinople from the beginning of the 15th century until the conquest of Constantinople in 1453
- from the 16th century (public) collections of works of art and curiosities, from the 18th century a museum in the modern sense
- Museion (Bozen) , museum for modern and contemporary art
- Museion. Publications of the Austrian National Library in Vienna , series of the Austrian National Library (since 1920)
- Museion (magazine) , cultural-historical-esoteric magazine published in Zurich from 1991 to 2007
