Carmen Thyssen Museum

The Museo Carmen Thyssen opened in 2011 in Málaga ( Spain ). The museum is located in the Palacio Villalon on Calle Compania in the old town of Málaga. The permanent exhibition includes 230 works, mainly works by Andalusian painters, which Carmen Thyssen-Bornemisza donated to the new museum free of charge. The exhibition focuses on 19th century Spanish painting; it includes u. a. Works by Julio Romero de Torres , Francisco de Zurbarán , Eugenio Lucas Velázquez , Guillermo Gómez Gil and Joaquín Sorolla .
