The Altes Zeughaus Museum in Solothurn is one of the largest historically oriented armaments and weapons exhibitions in Switzerland , but it is primarily focused on the Canton of Solothurn .

history

The building of today's museum was built around 1609. After that it was used for centuries as an armory ( armory ) Swiss for the troops of the then state political or sovereign (independent) state of Solothurn, this also on the establishment of the State of 1848 with a certain centralization of military organization also.
