Museum leases
The Pachten Museum is a museum for the prehistory and early history of the Saarlouis district and a local history museum of the Dillingen district of Pachten . It has existed since 1990 and is housed in a former farmhouse. The focus of the exhibition is the Gallo-Roman epoch in Contiomagus .
The Roman origin of leasing has been known about since the 17th century. The relics also come from the local cremation grave field , which is one of the largest in southwest Germany. However, there are also finds from the Stone, Bronze, Iron Ages and the era of the Celts .
A geological collection contains fossils and minerals from the area.
The recent past is documented with tools from everyday life in the 19th to the 20th century in a farmhouse. This also includes tools and a full bedroom.
Since the adjoining barn was expanded, temporary exhibitions have also been shown.
