Folk architecture museum (Sanok)
The Museum of Folk Architecture in Sanok (Muzeum Budownictwa Ludowego w Sanoku) is located in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship near the town of Sanok , under the Biała-Góra Mountain .
The open-air museum was built in 1958 and is one of the largest in Poland . It shows a few dozen original and reconstructed buildings from the mountainous areas of the Low Beskids , Doły Jasielsko-Sanockie (de. Sanoker Plain ) and the Polish part of the Bieszczady . The museum's ethnographic park shows the traditional way of life and work of the Polish - Ruthenian population of the Sub-Carpathian Mountains , as well as the Forest Germans , Lemken and Bojken . Farmhouses, granaries, windmills, farm buildings, an inn and a church in wood or log cabin construction can be visited. All buildings are furnished with the appropriate equipment and some have pets, so that rural life in the past can be understood.
Also part of the exhibition are equipment and machines for oil production in Galicia.
