The museum and archive of the German Society for Urology eV (DGU) in Düsseldorf - Golzheim documents the history of urology and the associated history of medicine , science and technology from antiquity to the present.

The museum has been located in the offices of the German Society for Urology since 2000 . The building used to belong to the neighboring building complex of the Entrepreneurs' Association of North Rhine-Westphalia.

The permanent exhibition is divided into several sub-areas: The "Development of the German Society for Urology" is particularly dedicated to the difficult founding and establishment of this special discipline of medicine and shows exemplary exhibits for the establishment of a specialist. This is followed by a cross-sectional presentation of the endoscopes (cystoscopes) important for urology for diagnostics and therapy, which takes special aspects of technical development in German-speaking countries into account and presents an extract from the museum's extensive scientific collection. Furthermore, some disease complexes that are important for urology, such as urinary stone disease, are examined as examples . The differentiated view of this medical specialty is taken into account by exhibits on the integration of urology into contemporary culture as well as memorabilia that are related to the subject.

The special exhibition in the foyer of the house is always dedicated to a current topic of urology and is based on the historical exhibition during the annual urology congress. For visitors there is the possibility to visit by appointment. Trade visitors can use the extensive library and the special scientific collection for cystoscopy and TUR instruments.
