The museum depot of the state capital Munich is a cultural-historical collection of the city of Munich . It is administered by the Munich City Museum , the Museum Villa Stuck and the Jewish Museum Munich .

It is one of the largest and most modern museum depots in Europe. Over 2.5 million objects are preserved for future generations on 10,000 m² of floor space, spread over four floors.

The depot inventory contains originals from the areas of folklore, applied arts, graphics, posters and paintings, fashion and textiles, music, puppet theater and showmanship .

The depot built by the Munich architects Schmidt-Schicketanz und Partner has been located at Lindberghstrasse 44 in Freimann since November 2011 .

The building received a nomination for the BDA Prize Bavaria 2013 in the spatial effect category .
