Musikari Nazi Kombo (born March 13, 1944 ) is a Kenyan politician .

biography

After attending Misiku Primary School , Mumias High School and Nyeri High School, he studied economics at the University of Nairobi and graduated with a Bachelor of Science (BSEcon.). He then worked as an entrepreneur .

In 1990 he was one of the co-founders of the Forum For The Restoration Of Democracy - Kenya (FORD-K) , of which he was chairman. In 1992 he was elected member of parliament for the first time , in which he represented the interests of the constituency of Webuye after his re-election in 1997 and on December 27, 2002 to 2007 .

In January 2003 he was first deputy minister (assistant minister) before he was minister for national development in the government of President Mwai Kibaki for some time in 2004 . On November 18, 2006, Kibaki reappointed him as Minister of Local Government, which he served until January 2008. Uhuru Kenyatta , the chairman of KANU, was succeeded as Minister of Local Government .

Kombo, who is now a member of President Kibaki's Party of National Unity (PNU), was not re-elected Member of Parliament on December 27, 2007, despite his nomination.
