Music production Dabringhaus & Grimm
The music production Dabringhaus & Grimm (MDG) is an independent label for classical music in Detmold . It was founded in 1978 by Werner Dabringhaus and Reimund Grimm (* February 7, 1951, † August 15, 2020).
The artists who regularly publish on MDG include the Leipzig String Quartet , the Ensembles Musica Alta Ripa and Consortium Classicum , the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn , the organists Rudolf Innig and Ben van Oosten , the harpsichordist Bernhard Klapprott and the pianists Christian Zacharias , Stefan Irmer, Claudius Tanski and Steffen Schleiermacher . In addition, MDG has an exclusive contract with the Wuppertal Symphony Orchestra .
MDG is a member of the CLASS - Association of Classical Independents in Germany eV (independent record manufacturers and distributors from the fields of classical, world music and jazz).

- Echo Klassik Prize 2006 for the "Best Surround Recording of the Year"
- In 2011, seven MDG artists were awarded ECHO Klassik awards. Among others, Christian Zacharias and the Orchester de Chambre de Lausanne received the award for the best surround recording, and Thomas Honickel , Christian Firmbach and the Beethoven Orchester Bonn received the Classic for Children Prize .
