Mustafa Akçay (born September 20, 1983 in Trabzon ) is a Turkish football player .

Career

In his youth, Akçay played for TSV Bernhausen until the Stuttgarter Kickers noticed him in 1993 and he finally moved up into the squad of the second team there after several youth teams. A season later, the midfielder was able to make a name for himself in the squad of the first team and completed a total of 121 games for the Blues in the Regionalliga Süd . After he was able to keep the class with the Kickers, Akçay tried his luck in Turkey with the first division side Antalyaspor , but after only one season he switched to a class lower club Adanaspor . In 2011 he returned to Germany and played for the district league club Tunaspor Echterdingen before returning to his home club, for which he is currently active.
