The Mustangs Ice Hockey Club is a semi-professional Australian Hockey Club in Melbourne , which was founded in 2010 and since the 2011 season in the Australian Ice Hockey League play. In 2014 the team was able to win the Goodall Cup , the Australian championship, for the first time .
history
The club was founded in 2010 and started playing in the Australian Ice Hockey League for the 2011 season. In the first game in the AIHL, the team lost 4: 8 to local rivals and previous year's champions Melbourne Ice . Three years later, the Mustangs reached the final of the Goodall Cup , the Australian Championship, for the first time in their history , and met again on Melbourne Ice, which this time could be beaten 6: 1, making the Goodall Cup the first time in the Mustangs trophy cabinet .
