Perth Thunder is a semi-professional Australian ice hockey club from Perth , founded in 2010 and playing in the Australian Ice Hockey League from the 2012 season .
history
The team was founded in 2010 with the aim of participating in the Australian Ice Hockey League . In 2011, the team played several test matches against current AIHL teams. On October 16, 2011, the team was officially accepted by the AIHL and will start playing in the league for the 2012 season . The Thunder played their first league game on May 5, 2012 at home against the Canberra Knights .
