Mutisi grottoes

The Mutisi Grottoes or the Grottoes of the Muti Temple or Grottoes of the " Wooden Ladder Temple" ( Chinese  木梯 寺 石窟 , Pinyin Mùtī sì shíkū , English Mutisi Grottoes / Temple-Caves of Mutisi / Temple-Cave with Wooden Ladder ) im district Wushan of Tianshui in the Chinese province of Gansu are a Buddhist cave temples .

The cave temple dates back to the time of the Northern Wei Dynasty from the time of the Southern and Northern Dynasties . It contains sculptures and frescoes from the Northern Wei Dynasty , Tang Dynasty , Song Dynasty , the Five Dynasties , Yuan Dynasty and from later times. The caves have already been damaged and robbed several times.

The Mutisi Grottoes ( Muti si shiku ) have been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (6-869) since 2006 .
