Motherland Party (Azerbaijan)
The Motherland Party ( Azerbaijani Ana Vətən Partiyası ) is an Azerbaijani political party registered by the Ministry of Justice on August 14, 1992. Its members are mainly Azeri refugees who came from Armenia as a result of mutual displacement in the course of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict . She wants to represent the interests of Nakhichevan within the entire state and supports the authoritarian leadership of Ilcham Aliyev .
The ideology of the motherland party is national conservatism , its official slogan is: Azad, Qüdrətli, Demokratie, Bötöv Azərbaycan , in German Free, Strong, Democratic, Unified Azerbaijan .
Party leader Fəzail Ağamalı is a former Deputy Minister for Social Protection. His deputy is Zahid Oruc .
During the parliamentary elections on November 5, 2000 and January 7, 2001, the party won 1 out of 125 seats in the National Assembly of Azerbaijan. In the elections on November 6, 2005, the party received a total of two of a total of 125 seats this time. In the parliamentary elections on November 7, 2010, the party received a total of 2 of a total of 125 seats in the National Assembly of Azerbaijan .
