Muzeul de Artă Drobeta Turnu Severin (German: Art Museum Drobeta Turnu Severin ) is an art museum in Drobeta Turnu Severin ( Mehedinți district ).
About the museum
The museum was founded in 1990 and is located in a castle that was built in the Baroque style at the end of the 18th century.
The collection has works by Ștefan Luchian , George Petraşcu , Theodor Pallady , Nicolae Tonitza , Francisc Șirato , Ștefan Dimitrescu , Iosif Iser , Theodor Aman , Camil Ressu and many more. In addition, an estate of 100 works by the artist Dumitru Ghiață from Mehedinți is managed.
