The MyHammer Holding AG (formerly Abacho AG ) is the parent company of MyHammer group based in Berlin. The company operates through its 100 percent subsidiary MyHammer AG, the Internet portal MyHammer .

MyHammer is an online marketplace where private and commercial users can tender and award craft and service contracts ( order auction ), as well as a business directory with company profiles of craft and service companies. In 2017, the portal had almost 3.1 million registered clients and 19,500 registered businesses. The shares of MyHammer Holding AG are listed on the regulated market (“ General Standard ”) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The majority shareholder of the company is InterActiveCorp through its subsidiary HomeAdvisor GmbH.

Object of the holding company

Within the MyHammer Group, the company mainly performs administrative tasks in the areas of law, human resources, finance, capital markets and investor relations, as well as strategy. In addition, it markets an extensive portfolio of domains . The only ongoing line of business today is the MyHammer online marketplace.

MyHammer AG business model

MyHammer AG achieves over 95% of its sales through regular, fixed contributions from registered tradespeople and service providers. The contributions per registered company amount to around 20 euros per month for the first three months (“starter package”) and around 60 euros per month for each additional twelve months (“term package”). At the end of 2017, there were around 19,500 of these paid packages.

In 1996 Ingo Endemann founded Endemann !! Full Service Werbeagentur GmbH based in Neuss, which was converted into Endemann Internet AG in 1999 . In the same year, the company went public on the Neuer Markt . Initially, the company operated various advertising-financed Internet offers , including the portals Spider.de , Aladin.de and Eule.de , which were combined in 2001 under the core brand Abacho to form a portal with an Internet search engine. In the same year the company was renamed Abacho AG and switched to the regulated market of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

On January 1, 2005, the subsidiary My-Hammer Aktiengesellschaft was founded. In 2007 Ingo Endemann left the board after the Holtzbrinck publishing group had taken over the majority of the shares. In the course of a restructuring between 2008 and 2010, the headquarters were initially relocated to Berlin and business activities were concentrated on the MyHammer portal. In 2010 the Internet portal Abacho was sold and Abacho AG renamed MyHammer Holding AG.

On October 10, 2016, the Holtzbrinck Group and Global Founders Capital GmbH & Co. Beteiligungs KG Nr. 1 of the Samwer brothers sold their shares in MyHammer to the company InterActiveCorp and its subsidiary HomeAdvisor GmbH , which already have holdings in the same via HomeAdvisor International Holds market segment in France (Travaux.com), the Netherlands (Werkspot.nl) and Italy (Instapro.it).
