action

The Texan Capt. Billy Buck Chandler is busy making all the preparations to be the first pilot to fly non-stop across the Atlantic to Paris alone, when he falls madly in love with the English swimmer Edith Herbert. She is the star of a European water ballet extravaganza / show touring the United States. Her boss, the Russian prince (with Georgian-sounding name) Nicolai Erraclyovitch Tchatchavadze, doesn't keep her with money, but with dirty photos! Of course, she would be only too happy to escape this disgust - and does so.

Billy Buck now has to choose between fame and love, and his mechanic Mickey is also in love with him. The latter problem is solved because Mickey and the Prince find each other - the former by deciding to look for his loved one. He finds Edith, after a non-stop flight (before Lindbergh's arrival in Paris - but unfortunately without witnesses!), In Morocco, the place of her first great love.

Even if the story takes place in 1927, it gives ample opportunity to indulge in the Art Deco era , including Astaire & Rogers dance numbers and Busby Berkeley choreographies.
