Mycoses. Diagnosis, Therapy and Prophylaxis of Fungal Diseases is a scientific journal published by Wiley-Blackwell-Verlag on behalf of the European Confederation for Medical Mycology and the German-speaking Mycological Society . The journal was founded in 1957 under the name Mykosen with the subtitle Journal for the Research and Treatment of Fungal Diseases and changed it to Mycoses in 1988 . It appears twelve issues a year. The journal offers an international forum for original articles, letters to the editor and reviews on the pathogenesis, diagnostics, therapy, prophylaxis and epidemiology of fungal infectious diseases in humans and animals, as well as the biology of pathogenic fungi.

The impact factor in 2018 was 3.065. According to the statistics of the ISI Web of Knowledge , the journal with this impact factor ranks 17th out of 66 journals in the Dermatology category and 10th out of 29 journals in the Mycology category.
