Myelotoxicity

The myelotoxicity is the (health) damaging effect mostly of chemical substances and / or physical factors on the bone marrow and leads to myelosuppression .

The term is a combination of ancient Greek μυελός , myelos , "marrow" or "spinal cord" and toxicity .

The adjective for this is called myelotoxic .

What is meant is not damage to the spinal cord , which is referred to as myelopathy , but to the bone marrow.
