Myles (King of Sparta)

Myles ( old Gr . Μύλης " Müller ") was in Greek mythology the eldest son of Lelex and the Naiad Kleochareia. He was the brother of Polykaon , Bomolochus and Therapne .

After the death of his father he took over the rule of Sparta and Laconia from him . Thereafter, Myles' son Eurotas became King of Sparta.

Myles was considered to be the inventor of the mill in ancient times. He is said to have built the first mill in Alesiai ("place of grinding").
