The myops (Gr. Biting fly ) is a magazine that reports on publications and events from the world of law.

Myops claims to be the annoying thorn in the legal landscape that reflects, criticizes and polemicizes. The Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung compares myops in a review with the Frankfurt satirical magazine Titanic and states: "... in myops people write about what the others are silent about: for example about unpunished plagiarism, uncontrolled judicial examination offices, unbearable lectures or job advertisements. "

The magazine is published by Verlag CH Beck by Dieter Simon , Regina Ogorek , Rainer Maria Kiesow and Benjamin Lahusen. The editor was initially Rainer Maria Kiesow (professor for "The Order of Law" at the École des hautes études en sciences sociales (EHESS) in Paris ). Since 2018 she has been with Benjamin Lahusen (Law & Society Institute (LSI) at the Humboldt University Berlin ). Since it was founded in 2007, the magazine has been published three times a year.
