The Myrcha Point ( English for Polish Przylądek Myrchy ) is a headland on the south coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the north shore of King George Bay , it lies at the front of the Polonia Piedmont Glacier .
Polish scientists named them in 1981 after the biologist Andrzej Myrcha, who participated in two Polish expeditions to the Antarctic (1977–1978 and 1979–1980).
