Národná koalícia

Národná koalícia ( proper spelling : NÁRODNÁ KOALÍCIA ; German: National Coalition) is a political party in Slovakia . It was founded on March 5, 2014 as Strana Demokratického Slovenska (SDS; Party of Democratic Slovakia).

The SDS emerged from members of the previously dissolved Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS), which ruled Slovakia in the 1990s. The first chairman was Sergei Kozlík . In the 2014 European elections , she received 1.49% of the vote. In August 2015, the party renamed itself Národná koalícia . In May 2018, Slavěna Vorobelová was elected as the new party leader. In succession to the HZDS, the SDS or Národná koalícia was a member of the European Democratic Party (EDP) until 2019 .

In the 2019 presidential election , the National Coalition supported Štefan Harabin’s candidacy . In the 2019 European elections it fell to 0.72%. For the 2020 National Council election , she ran as part of a list association with the right-wing extremist party Kotlebovci - Ľudová strana Naše Slovensko (ĽSNS): Slavěna Vorobelová ran in 16th place on the ĽSNS list but received too few preferential votes to join the National Council.
