Néstor Aquino

Néstor Aquino , full name Néstor Martín Aquino Vergara , (born June 12, 1980 ) is a Uruguayan road cyclist.

In 1999 Néstor Aquino decided the overall ranking of the Doble Melo-Treinta y Tres in his favor. In 2002 he was third at the Competencia del Cruz del Sur . In 2004 two placements followed, finishing second at the Rutas de América and at the Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay . In the latter stage race, he also secured the Premio Cima award . The next year he took second place again on the first section of the Rutas de America. His success with the Doble Melo-Treinta y Treshe repeated at the 2006 edition. The following year he finished third overall and on the second day of the competition came second in the daily ranking. Also in 2007 he was fourth in the Uruguayan championship in road racing, where he finished fifth and third on the first and second sections. In the 2008 season Aquino won a stage in the Vuelta al Chana . In the major tours of the Rutas de América and Vuelta Ciclista del Uruguay , he ranked fifth and 41st respectively in the final ranking. In the first-mentioned competition, he also only had to admit defeat to the winner of the day on the first stage leading by Minas mach Rocha . In 2009 he was Uruguayan road racing champion at the Florida event . A few weeks later he finished 11th in the overall ranking of the Rutas de América .
