Nörvenicher Strasse (Düren)
The Nörvenicher road in the district town Düren ( North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a city road .
location
The street lies in the east of Düren and forms the northern border of the satellite city . It connects Binsfelder Strasse and Stettiner Strasse. The Paul Gerhardt School is on Nörvenicher Strasse .
history
The street was formerly called Barackenweg . During the epidemic, the wooden insulating structures were erected here. In 1874 a total of 470 people were housed in the barracks, but 145 of them died. It was not until 1959 that Barackenweg was renamed Nörvenicher Straße. It was named after the place Nörvenich .
