Business areas

Since a change in strategy in 2016, NCC AB has been divided into four business units of different sizes:

  • NCC Industry - offers products and services related to road construction, such as B. sand, gravel and asphalt.
  • NCC Building - includes the construction and in particular the renovation or restoration of residential houses, commercial and logistics properties.
  • NCC Infrastructure - builds bridges, tunnels, roads and rail networks.
  • NCC Property Developement - develops and sells offices, commercial and logistics properties . NCC Building takes over the construction work.

As part of the strategy change in 2016, the house and residential construction division NCC Housing , which was primarily aimed at private customers and end users, was spun off from the group as a spin-off (see branch (Economy) ) and became an independent one under the new brand name Bonava Company transferred. The real estate company Bonava AB has been listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange in Stockholm since June 2016. The German subsidiary - formerly active as NCC Deutschland GmbH - has since also operated under the name Bonava Germany .

history

From 1987 to 1989, ABV (later NCC) built the

The name NCC ("Nordic Construction Company") came into being in 1988 after the merger of the largest Swedish construction groups Johnson Construction Company (JCC) and Armerad Betong Vägförbättringar (ABV). In 1997, NCC also merged with the Swedish construction company Siab AB. However, NCC's roots go back to 1875 when the predecessor company Nya Asfalt was founded. In the following 120 years, this Swedish company was founded and merged into the internationally operating group NCC AB.

The most famous NCC building projects include the Vasa Museum and the Kista Science Tower in Stockholm and the Turning Torso in Malmö .
