NIN ( Serbian - Cyrillic НИН ) is a weekly Serbian news magazine published in Belgrade . The title is an acronym for Nedeljne informativne novine (Недељне информативне новине), which translates as weekly informative newspaper .

Nin is a current news magazine that influences the Serbian (and formerly Yugoslav ) elites and the formation of public opinion in Serbia. The magazine has 35 employees.

NINs Literature Award

Since 1954, Nin has been awarding the NIN Literature Prize (Ninova nagrada, Нинова награда, The NIN Prize ), an important literary prize for Serbian authors. Important prize winners were Danilo Kiš , Dobrica Ćosić , Aleksandar Tišma , Oskar Davičo , Miroslav Krleža , Mehmed Meša Selimović , Miloš Crnjanski , Milorad Pavić , Bora Ćosić , Dubravka Ugrešić , Milovan Danojlićo Ćop (1997) and Brankić .
