The NKAG diesel locomotive I was bought by the Nassauische Kleinbahn in 1951 from the Jung Lokomotivfabrik in order to take over the goods traffic to the lead and silver smelter on the three- rail (1000 mm / 750 mm gauge) remaining operation in Braubach.

For this purpose, it was equipped with a so-called triangle coupling in order to be able to transport wagons of the Kleinbahn with 750 mm coupling height and wagons of the local lead and silver smelter with 500 mm coupling height in the island operation of Braubach . This coupling system consisted of vertically arranged double buffers and special couplings for the vehicles.

After the rest of the operations in Braubach had been converted to 750 mm gauge in 1959, the locomotive was sold to Plettenberger Kleinbahn in December 1959 through an intermediary.

In the secondary literature the designation locomotive “16” is regularly found. This cannot be proven. No company number was written until the mid-1950s. The number I (Roman 1 for "diesel locomotive I") was only written to after complaints by the regional representative for railway supervision (LfB travel reports in the Koblenz regional archive). In connection with the steam locomotive 16 (formerly Kleinbahn Selters Hachenburg) acquired in October 1957, there would have been double occupancy of the 16 for two years. This seems unlikely.

The Plettenberger Kleinbahn (PKB) bought the locomotive as their last narrow-gauge locomotive. After the general cessation of operations on July 17, 1962, an approximately 1000-meter-long section of the route to the Plettenberg transshipment center continued to be served by the locomotive from mid-1972 to 1972. The coupling system of the locomotive has been changed to medium coupling buffers with a slot for the transport of trolleys . Later it received a buffer beam with an asymmetrical pulling and buffing device to move standard-gauge freight cars on the three-rail track .

The locomotive was then sold to Togo , where it was still there in the early 1980s.

The built by Lokomotivfabrik Jung biaxial diesel locomotive of the track width 1000 mm with pinion drive corresponded to the series 140 B Jung L . Only one copy was made of it. The designation means L = narrow-gauge locomotive, with 140 in 1951 the engine power in hp and with B the wheel arrangement. The locomotive was created in connection with the development of some larger narrow-gauge locomotives of various gauges such as the meter-gauge Rendsburger Kreisbahn RK 12 .

Behind the front end of the locomotive with an inner frame was the driver's cab with two front windows. The machinery consisted of a four-stroke MAN diesel engine and a diesel-hydraulic drive . The transmission driving the underlying the cab blind shaft , which passed on the force rod to the axis.
