history
The club was founded in 1926 and played after the Second World War in Yugoslav times in the SLN, at that time a regional sub-league of the Yugoslav football system.
In the 2003/04 season, Bela Krajina took second place in the 2nd SNL and failed in relegation to the top Slovenian league, initially with 0-0 and 1-1 at NK Drava Ptuj . The team rose due to the withdrawal of three teams. In the premiere season, Bela Krajina finished tenth in the twelve league. In the 2005/06 season the team was penultimate in the ten-team league and had to go into relegation. There, the team retained the upper hand against ND Dravinja with 2-2 and 0-0 due to the away goals rule .
In the 2006/07 season Bela Krajina could no longer avoid relegation as bottom of the table.
