Isthmus of Médanos
The isthmus of Médanos is a land bridge between the Venezuelan Caribbean coast near Coro and the Paraguaná peninsula .
Its length is about 25 km with a width between 4 and 6 km.
The Médanos shifting dunes, which stretch along the isthmus, are worth seeing. The Médanos National Park was established in 1974 to protect them .
