The AM 96 series of the Belgian State Railways (NMBS / SNCB) is a series of 160 km / h three-part electric traction vehicle units. Each unit consists of one type Bx, B and ADx car.

The trains are mainly used in the inner-Belgian IC traffic of the NMBS / SNCB, but also reach Lille (France) and Luxembourg (city) on three cross-border intercity lines .

Characteristic of these vehicles are the driver's cab, which is surrounded by a rubber bead - which is why these vehicles are affectionately called rubber noses or also pejorative toilet seats - and its central part (control table), which can be folded away to the side when several units are combined. Due to their similar external and technical correspondence with the Danish MF series , they are also called Deense neus ("Danish nose") or " rubber nose" .
