NSB Type 72 or BM 72 is the name of a four-part electric multiple unit family , each consisting of the end cars BMa and BMb and the intermediate cars BC and BP.
They are designed for suburban traffic and are used by Norges Statsbaner in the Oslo area and on the Jærbane between Stavanger and Egersund . The vehicles were from 2002 as a replacement for the older BM 69 at AnsaldoBreda procured and initially branded NSB pulse advertised.
The trains have space for 306 passengers.
